Building Bridges Between Narrative Therapy and Family Psychotherapy [feat. Keren Gonzalez]

Joining us this week is clinical social worker and family psychotherapist Keren Gonzalez. Along with Keren's story, we discuss various Narrative Therapy concepts (externalizing, re-authoring, absent but implicit, etc.) and how they connect with Keren's practice and passion as a mental health advocate. 
Keren Gonzalez graduated from Florida Atlantic University with her Master’s in Social Work and has her LCSW. She completed her undergraduate studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University where she received her BS in psychology. She is trained in EMDR and is a Circle of Security facilitator. Currently, she works as therapist at The Center for Child Counseling, focusing on using Child-Parent Psychotherapy to address trauma in families and children ages 0-5. Keren believes that all of her experiences—both personal and professional—have driven her interest in pursuing justice for vulnerable populations. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, reading a good book, and playing with her dog Luna.

Sterling Shipp is a Senior at the University of Florida majoring in Health Education & Behavior with a Minor in Anthropology. Analyzing The Truman Show
